Milwaukee's best Third Ward bar, 2012: The Wicked Hop

"Bar Month" at OnMilwaukee.com – brought to you by Hornitos, OR-G, Party Armor, Red Stag, Absolut, Fireball and Malibu – is back for another round! The whole month of February, we're serving up intoxicatingly fun articles on bars and clubs – including guides, the latest trends, bar reviews and more. Grab a designated driver and dive in!

The votes are in and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best: Bars & Clubs, 2012. Find readers' results in 50 categories, including an editors' pick, in this series of articles that run daily in the Bars and Clubs section of OnMilwaukee.com.

For the third year in a row, OnMilwaukee.com readers picked The Wicked Hop as their favorite Third Ward watering hole. The upscale sports bar named after a baseball term is a great place to cheer on the team or catch up with friends and coworkers who are sports-minded or not.

With fair prices, a daily happy hour featuring great deals, an award-winning Bloody Mary and ample seating – including lively street side seating under the black awning in summertime – make The Wicked Hop a great place to drink in Milwaukee. And the food's good, too, but that's another survey.

Also for the second year in a row, The Milwaukee Ale House ranked second, just a few dozen votes behind the winner.
