In an effort to grow its fan base and create a sense of camaraderie between fans, the Milwaukee Bucks and 25 bars and restaurants in Milwaukee and southeast Wisconsin have teamed up to create the "Bucks Bar Network."

According to a release from the team, each bar will air the Bucks broadcast on FOX Sports Wisconsin and be decorated in Bucks paraphernalia, inside and out.  And, one bar will be called the "bar of the game" for that particular night and acknowledged on the broadcast.

The Bucks Bar Network will begin Wednesday, Oct. 29, when the Bucks open the 2014-15 season on the road against the Charlotte Hornets at Jackson's Blue Ribbon Pub, located at 1203 N. 10th St.

The Milwaukee Bucks Dancers and other team performance groups will be on hand, there will be drink specials and a chance to win tickets to the Friday, Oct. 31 home opener against Philadelphia.

In a statement released by the team, Mark Zierath, operating partner of Jackson’s Blue Ribbon Pub said, "The new foundation for the future of the Milwaukee Bucks looks promising with the new ownership and young stars. As a fan of the Bucks, I’m excited to be a part of the Bucks Bar Network. I get to still be a fan while participating as a business owner, too. I think it’s great that the team is reaching out to include local businesses as part of their efforts."

Patrons at any of the other Bucks Bar Network locations are encouraged to connect socially using the #BucksBars tag. One participant who does so will be randomly selected to receive $250 from the team to cover their tab for the night.

Also, Bucks MVP season subscribers will be rewarded with special discounts off of food and drinks at any bar network location.

Local bars interested in joining the Bucks Bar Network should reach out to Mollie Cowen (barnetwork@bucks.com), though with 25 locations already on board, space is running out. For more information, log on to Bucks.com/bars.
