Club Tap, next door to Lalli's Pizza, closed last night but it will reopen.

Club Tap in Wauwatosa closes, but will reopen under new ownership

Club Tap, 8816 W. North Ave., closed last night under current ownership. The bar -- something of a Wauwatosa institution since 1939 -- shared a building with Lalli's Pizza.

Sources say Lalli's Pizza owners are taking over the space and will expand and run the bar, which will continue to be called Club Tap.

On Sunday, Scott Mosser confirmed that Club Tap will be under new ownership as of July 1.

"We will continue to follow the great Club Tap tradition that has brought us here today. We will be closed for approximately a week and we are hoping that July 7 will begin the new era of the Club Tap," said Mosser.

We'll keep you apprised on upcoming changes as they become available.
