Once again, OnMilwaukee.com readers picked the Old German Beer Hall as their favorite Downtown bar by a landslide.
Restaurateur Hans Weissgerber III of the Weissgerber Group opened the Bavarian bar and eatery at the end of 2005.
The Old German Beer Hall seats about 100 and features the beers of the Hofbrauhaus in Munich, along with lagers, darks and weisses and seasonal offerings like Maibock, HB Sommer and Oktoberfest. The bar also serves the Weissgerber family's house amber and Miller High Life and Miller Lite in bottles.
Beers are served in liter, one-third liter or half-liter glasses. The beer hall's traditional Bavarian menu includes large Bavarian pretzels, bratwurst, knackwurst, smoked pork chops, carved corned beef sandwiches, schnitzel (as a special only) and three-brat chili.

I love the Old German Beer Hall. The food is great, and the beer is unbelieveable! This is the beer that comes from over in the old country, different from domestic beer here in the States. I love it. If you have not tried it you need to pay them a visit. Yaaa!
what's it to you what other people drink?
Love the OGBH...what a great place. Please tell me no one drinks Miller Lite there...
