Village Pub in Shorewood will reopen
The Village Pub, 4488 N. Oakland Ave., remains closed this week as, according to sources, the longtime bar and winner of "Best Suburban Bar" looks to renew its liquor license with the Village of Shorewood.
The bar hadn't updated social media since the end of June, and calls to the business were not answered. However, a new update has been made via the pub's Twitter account:
The Village Pub will be closed temporarily but we will open soon! Our Apologies #vpg— Village Pub & Grill (@vpgshorewood) July 9, 2014
According to a Village of Shorewood notice, there was a Special Village Board meeting on Thurs., July 10, at 8:15 a.m. to "Consider a "Class B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License, Village Pub, Agent Dennis Cox, 4488 N. Oakland Ave."
OnMilwaukee.com will continue to update and monitor the status of The Village Pub.
It's been known to be on the market for awhile. Expect new ownership.
