Description [edit]
Opened in March 2009, AJ Bombers takes over the space previously occupied by The Corner and Water's End. The menu offers two specialty burgers, plenty of veggie options and a list of deep fried appetizers. Peanuts on the ground are a trademark of this hip Water Street bar.

In 2010, AJ Bombers defeated Sobelman's in the Travel Channel's "Food Wars" competition. While the battle still rages, the only way to be sure which burger is truly superior is to try them both yourself.

Custard Capital of the World - Custard Tour

Milwaukeeans demanded & Milwaukee Food & City Tours delivered with the creation of a tour dedicated solely to highlighting the “custard capital of the world.” On the tour you will visit the shops & stands that have been institutions throughout Milwaukee’s historic communities. Guests will be treated to: four generously sized custard portionsbottle of waterburger and fries samples (1 location)round-trip transportationguided tour fun “Custard’s unique characteristics that make it creamier, softer and often times more flavorful than ice cream are what make it such an enjoyable and requested summer treat – especially with out-of-town tour guests,” said Theresa Nemetz, owner of Milwaukee Food & City Tours. “Milwaukee has so many fantastic custard vendors that the tour theme was an obvious addition for our company.” RECENT REVIEWS Custard Galore! "The 4 custard places we went to were very generous and filling. I didn't need to eat supper after all of the custard. One place added a quarter of a hamburger and another added french fries. Both of these treats added some welcome saltiness to the custard. Our bus was comfortable and Jean, our leader, was informative, friendly, and enthusiastic all through our afternoon together. She made strangers feel welcome with each other. In addition to the delicious custard we had an afternoon of laughs and friendly companions." This tour was wonderful! "The serving size of custard at each place was a full single size so I was extremely full by the end of the tour! I'm a local but was introduced to at least one frozen custard place that I never knew existed and turned out to be my favorite of all of them. I would definitely recommend this tour for an afternoon of frozen custard tasting." The 2.5-hour bus tour departs from downtown Milwaukee and feature stops at four custard stands throughout the area while enjoying stories of Milwaukee en route.
