We dined at this restuarant couple of weeks ago. By far the WORST restuarant EVER! My boyfriend and I are somewhat of food/resturant Connoisseurs, and have travel all over the world. This is the first resturant that we have EVER been to that provided such horrible service, and a complete rip off, with their "deals". Now I don't mind paying at all for a good meal and wine, but when a resturant really tries to rip their customer off, it upsets me. I would rather pay the full price without the hassle of trying to figure out what their "deals" are! 1) we sat and waited for a good 30 minutes, before a server even came to our table, and the place was practically empty, seriously, not exaggerating! 30 minutes! How do they expect to stay in business? I do not recommend this place to anyone, and the portions of the food is not even worth it for tapas.... this place is an absolute joke! Poor service, horrible food, too much work to do, trying to figure out their deals, (who wants to calculate) Nothing good about them that I can think to say!!
We dined at Balzac last night and it was fabulous. There was a wait for a table, so the host recommended we go across the street for a drink and come back in 20 minutes. Well, he came over to get us when our table was ready! Such service. And the food is delicious, the wines are great, and the staff is knowledgeable. In tough economic times, it's easy to see why Balzac is staying strong.
