Popular Milwaukee custard stand Leon's has made national news due to its policy that employees may not speak in Spanish. In response, local playhouse Bounce Milwaukee has an offer for the area's many residents who speak other languages.

As posted on its Facebook page, Bounce is offering a free scoop of Purple Door Ice Cream to everyone who orders in a language other than English "to celebrate the amazing cultures and languages in our city." No purchase is necessary, and the deal is one per customer.

In the comments section, Bounce Milwaukee adds that it can also take Latin and Italian orders, and that it has Google Translate on standby.

Bounce is open today until 9 p.m., so head down to Bay View and get your free delicious Purple Door ice cream while supplies last. And maybe play a round of laser tag or climb the rock wall as long as you're there.

When she's not slaving away at OnMilwaukee, she's probably watching a football game, cross stitching something profane, writing one of the romance novels she publishes under the highly secret nome de plume, Eliza Madison, or some combination thereof. Whatever she's doing, she's drinking Diet Coke.
