Long-standing Best Burger champs, Sobelman's returns for yet another victory this year.

Milwaukee's best burger, 2011: Sobelman's

Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2011. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

For the fifth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2011."

The Best Burger champion wins in yet another landslide this year.

With 30 percent of the vote, defending champion Sobelman's easily ran away with the title for Milwaukee's Best Burger, finishing well ahead of top challengers AJ Bombers and Kopp's.

The Menomonee Valley burger bar has long been a favorite among Milwaukeeans of all walks of life. Be it businessmen and women, Marquette students, politicians or tourists, they've packed Dave and Melanie Sobelman's establishment at 1900 W. St. Paul Ave. over the years to dig into the delicious treats - a major reason why Sobelman's website is milwaukeesbestburgers.com.

Now with a second location, Sobelman's @Marquette, burger lovers can savor Sobelman's creations well into the night.

This category winner should read "Best Burger Bun" because thats about all that is "Best" about Soblemans Burgers and their standard "I could buy them at Pick n Save" burger patties. I say BOOOOOOO! AJ's and Oscars Tie for best.

I agree with the editor's pick. I had lunch at Oscar's for the first time yesterday, and it's not even a contest. Oscar's kills both AJ Bombers and Sobelman's... although I should mention that I'm a bigger fan of the burgers at Cafe Lulu than either of those two places.

Get it Right, BEST OVERATED BURGER. On Milwaukee has to fix the way the survey is done and not allow the balloting be stocked with people just voting hundreds of times. There should just be a panel to decide this and not make a mockery of this "Best of" sorry soblemans you lose, my choice "Oscars on Pierce" I have not have ONE good experience at Sobelmans, but you know what i do like about Soblemans......NOTHING

I love Sobelmans burgers -yes they are Milwaukee's Best. I am happy to see we did vote them that way. I love the new Martquette location also, but have not been there later at night -I wonder if the Students take over? Congrats Dave and Melanie on winning Milwaukees Best Burger competition again. I'll see you soon, probably this week!
