Milwaukee's best coffee shop/cafe, 2013
For the seventh straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by the restaurants of Potawatomi. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2013."
Some things change, but the coffee aficionados in Milwaukee know that some things remain the same, and that's their love for Colectivo Coffee (formerly Alterra).
Colectivo won your vote as the best coffee shop/café by a wide margin, collecting nearly 30 percent of the total vote in the category.
Colectivo's most famous location, on the lakefront at 1701 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr., is a prime example of the many cafés around the city – cozy (yet big enough to handle massive morning and afternoon rushes), identifiable, accessible and friendly.
Serving the Cream City for 20 years, Colectivo has proven yet again to not only be the readers' choice for as the best coffee shop/café in Milwaukee, but ours, too.
OnMilwaukee.com editors' choice: In one of our fun-filled staff brawls, it was decided that while we absolutely love coffee and Milwaukee coffee from Valentine and Stone Creek, Colectivo had some of the best cafés and coffees in Milwaukee.
2. Stone Creek
3. Comet Café
4. Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co.
5. Cedarburg Coffee Roastery
