For the 10th straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee, presented by the restaurants of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, dining guides, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as voting for your "Best of Dining 2016."

Thai-Namite

Since 2011, Thai-Namite, 932 E. Brady St., has brought fresh Thai food and a sushi bar to Brady Street. This year – beating out last year's winner Rice N Roll – Thai-namite was named the best by OnMilwaukee readers.

Thai-Namite is a sleek but casual eatery in a narrow, light-filled space. The menu includes spring rolls, gyoza, curries, soups, salads, stir fried noodles, nigiri, sashimi and maki rolls.

Thai-namite also has a space at the Milwaukee Public Market and another location will open this weekend in Tosa.

Runners up:
2. The King & I
3. Rice N Roll
4. EE Sane
5. Bangkok House

Lori Fredrich's pick: Bamboo
I love the vibe at Bamboo. It’s an unassuming little spot in Silver City. But, it serves up some of the most delectable bowls of Thai curry I’ve ever eaten, and loads of other delicious dishes that are worth a try. It gets bonus points for friendly, courteous service that goes above and beyond.

This year we also asked a variety of prominent Milwaukeeans to weigh in on their pick for specific categories. For this category, we consulted Biju Zimmerman, a local musician and tour manager with on point taste in food.

Zimmerman's pick: Bamboo

Located in Milwaukee's Silver City neighborhood, I find Bamboo to be the greatest Thai restaurant around. During my first visit, it took minutes to become good friends with the owners, "Chef Santana" and "Wise Ass Andy" – they are unbelievably nice. Santana comes out and asks every diner how their meal was. Her magic is the love of cooking and sharing the art of Thai, made from locally grown, fresh vegetables every day.

The BBQ pork pho is seasoned just right. The other day during a visit, they were playing Fugazi in the restaurant. Name another Thai restaurant like that. I'm all about the Bamboo life!
