The votes are in, and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2009. The results of this readers' poll, including an editors' pick, are available in this series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.
Milwaukeeans may be known for eating bratwurst, but we're pretty fond of chicken wings in these parts, too.
Think about it ...
In terms of TV ratings, interest and merchandise sales, the Milwaukee-Madison-Green Bay triangle constitutes one of the hotter football markets in the country. Football fans like to eat while they watch games.
What food goes better with football than chicken wings?
When it comes to wings, OnMilwaukee.com readers like variety.
With 14 different sauces and five local locations (Water Street, Mayfair, West Allis, New Berlin and West Bend), Buffalo Wild Wings was a clear winner over Points East Pub, which finished second.
Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.com as the editors duke it out in a blind taste test for an upcoming edition of "Take the Milwaukee Challenge: Wings."

Is this seriously the best they could come up with? What's the next "Best of" - Pizza = Papa Johns ? Either someone is lazy with their reviews or the voters need to get out more often. Was this review helpful? - Not even slightly.

Good chicken wings start with the chicken. If you could eat it plain without any sauce, you have a good wing place. BW3's has HORRIBLE chicken, but good sauce. Also OMC, isn't there already a best chain category for voting? I wish Quaker Steak was in Milwaukee. Yes they're a chain, but they would destroy BW3's on this list.
