After more than 30 years in business, Butch’s Old Casino Steak House, 555 N. James Lovell St., is closing. The building will be razed to make room for a sports medicine / health and wellness facility being developed collaboratively by the Milwaukee Bucks and Marquette University.

According to an employee, Butch's last day of operation will be Saturday, Feb. 28.

Chef-owner Butch Schettle closed his other Downtown restaurant, Butch’s Clock Steak House and Martini Bar, 800 N. Plankinton Ave., in 2009. Butch's Steak House in Oconomowoc on County Highway K remains open.

Schettle also owns Butch's Red Mill Inn in Brookfield and the new Butch's Pub & Eatery at 9140 W. National Ave. in West Allis.
