There are two new Chick-fil-A locations opening in southeast Wisconsin on Thursday, March 10.
The first will be located in Oak Creek at 150 W. Town Square Way and the second in Racine at 5201 Washington Ave.
Free breakfast
In celebration of the two new stores, existing Chick-fil-A locations will give away free Chicken Biscuit breakfast sandwiches on March 8 from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. No purchase is required, and the giveaway is limited to one per customer. Participating Milwaukee area locations include Chick-fil-As at 12625 W. Capitol Dr. in Brookfield and 5351 S. 76th St. in Greendale.
Overnight parties
And, according to a media release, if you live in the area you might want to start getting your tents ready. It’s a tradition for Chick-fil-A to celebrate its grand openings with giveaways, and it’s expected that -- in the 24 hours before the grand openings – family-friendly overnight parties are expected to pop up in the parking lots at the two locations.
The community events, which are are open to guests residing in specific zip codes surrounding the restaurants (rules do apply), culminate in a giveaway of digital offer cards loaded with a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A Meals to the first 100 eligible adults in line when the doors open at 6 a.m. on Thursday, March 10. Meal cards are good for 52 meals consisting of a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, medium Waffle Potato Fries and a medium beverage.
If more than 100 people are onsite when the line officially opens at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, a drawing will be held to randomly select the "First 100." Those chosen will be required to camp out until the grand opening to secure their spot.
Book drives
Both locations will also be inviting all "First 100" participants and customers to participate in a book drive.
In Oak Creek, franchise owner Danica Anderson will be collecting new children’s chapter books from March 9 at 6 a.m. to March 10 at 11 a.m. that will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee. In Racine, franchise owner Brian Goode is collecting new and gently used children’s books from March 9 at 6a.m. to March 10 at 9 a.m. for Koos for Kids in Racine.
The donated books will be placed in nearly three-foot-tall Book Houses to serve as free library exchanges at Big Brothers Big Sisters and Koos for Kids. The Book Houses, built from reclaimed wood, are donated by the Chick-fil-A Foundation. Last year, Chick-fil-A collected more than 10,000 books from communities coast to coast, which were donated to 89 local organizations in 30 states and Washington, D.C.
