Chili Lili's opened yesterday in the former Holiday House space at 525 E. Menomonee St.

The new chili restaurant and bar will eventually feature eight to 12 different types of chili -- both meaty and vegetarian -- but owner Jay Schiek says it will offer a limited menu until after Summerfest.

"We plan to have unique and different takes on classic chili," says Schiek.

Some of the available types of chili include spicy pizza chili and portabella mushroom. Schiek says Chili Lili's also caters to diners with dietary restrictions.

"After Summerfest, we'll have something for everyone," he says.
