For the ninth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee, presented by the restaurants of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, dining guides, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as voting for your "Best of Dining 2015."

Yesterday, I lamented the loss of Crawdaddy's Cajun & Creole Restaurant in West Allis in a post, which led to owner Jonathan Klug contacting me to say that the beloved eatery will reopen soon in a new location in West Allis.

Before it closed in 2013, Crawdaddy's pretty much owned the best seafood category in the annual OnMilwaukee Best of Dining poll.

Though he is keeping the exact location under wraps while construction of the new restaurant is underway, Klug says it will be "in West Allis, farther west, right off the freeway."

The new place will also have a 35-car parking lot, which is great news for folks who remember jockeying for street parking on nights when the former location at 64th and Greenfield Avenue was rocking.

According the Klug, the new Crawdaddy's is the result of a new partnership and Klug will again run the kitchen.

To my delight, he assures me that he's "sure the halibut  will be back at the peak of season" in what he calls, "a better, completely remodeled location around the first of the new year."

Can't wait!
