It’s a dreary, rainy sight outside today. Fortunately, there’s a bright spot to look forward to on the horizon.

After a few minor delays, the new Drink Wisconsinbly Pub, located at 135 E. National Ave., is slated for its grand opening on Wednesday, Feb. 10. And it sounds like the bar and restaurant will be comfy, cozy and full of downright Wisconsin fun.

The ownership team for the new pub includes Laura van Heijningen, formerly of Blue Jacket, former MOCT owner Nebi Torbica and Richard Lorbach of Drink Wisconsinbly, the state’s unofficial lifestyle brand.

The menu, created by Chef Kevin Sloan of the Pabst Theater Group, will be executed by former MOVIDA sous chef David Sapp and promises a slew of traditional Wisconsin items including a butter burger, paprikash wings, and hot ham and rolls on Sundays.

Meanwhile, the bar will be serving up classic Wisconsin old fashioneds, ice cold brews and more.

The Drink Wisconsinbly Pub will be open Monday through Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m. (bar service until 1 a.m.); Friday from 4 to midnight (bar service through close); Saturday from noon until midnight (bar service until close) and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. (bar service until 1 a.m.).

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for a preview of the space and menu.
