Five Guys Burgers and Fries, 2907 N. Oakland Ave., is due to close at the end of November.

A phone conversation with 5 Guys district manager this morning confirmed the closing. The East Side shop will remain open through Nov. 30.

The popular restaurant opened on Oakland in 2009, specializing in burgers made to order with a long list of toppings and fresh ingredients. The national chain prides itself on using only fresh, never frozen ground beef, Idaho potatoes and peanut oil.

An Ogden Avenue location closed two years ago.

Both the Bayshore Town Center and Mayfair locations will remain open. Five Guys is also planning on expansion to markets including Racine and Oak Creek in the coming months.
