Chef Jason Gorman returns to Wisconsin at Kenosha's Mangia Wine Bar
Jason Gorman, the chef most Milwaukeeans know from his time at Dream Dance and Iron Horse Hotel, is returning to Wisconsin to Kenosha's newly remodeled Mangia Wine Bar.
In 2012, Gorman joined Kenosha native Tony Mantuano as executive chef at the Art Institute of Chicago, and now he will continue with him at Mangia (formerly Mangia Trattoria). Mantuano is best known for his Spiaggia restaurant in Chicago.
"We didn't want to leave in the first place," said Gorman, who plans on moving back to the area soon. "We love Wisconsin."
For Gorman, it's about running an actual restaurant, which he hasn't done since 2011 at Dream Dance.
"It will be a fun atmosphere," he said.
Mangia, 5717 Sheridan Rd., is currently undergoing renovations, but Gorman said he will begin there later in the month.
