Fight hunger by eating brunch!

Melthouse Bistro has partnered with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin to launch a brand new initiative in celebration of Grilled Cheese Month.

On April 11-12, Melthouse Bistro guests who donate three non-perishable food items between 3 and 5 p.m. will receive a free Cheesehead Jr. grilled cheese sandwich.

"A core value of the Melthouse Bistro brand has been to give back to the community in which we live and work," said Susan Davis, co-owner of Melthouse Bistro.

Davis says that the initiative will kick off a summer-long Brunch for Hunger fundraiser that aims to support the belief that no one in the Milwaukee community should go hungry.

Beginning Saturday, April 5 and running through Sunday, Aug. 31, Melthouse Bistro will donate 50 cents to Feeding America with the purchase of any full-size entrée from the restaurant’s new weekend brunch menu.

As an added bonus, whenever a guest photographs his or her brunch entrée and tweets it to @melthousebistro or @FeedAmericaWI using the hashtag #brunch4hunger, the restaurant will donate an additional 50 cents to Feeding America.
