Season's eatings! October may be over, but Dining Month on OnMilwaukee, presented by the restaurants of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, is still cooking, dishing out your winning picks in this year's Best of Dining poll. Congratulations to all of the winners, and happy eating for all those who voted!
Botanas
After a two-year reign at the top of Milwaukee's Mexican and Latin American food category, BelAir Cantina has been knocked off its perch. This year, the popular taco spot was knocked back into third place, putting voter and foodie favorite Corazon in second and giving Botanas – with its menu of traditional favorites, seafood selections and family-friendly options – the gold.
It's a triumphant return to the top spot for Botanas, located at 816 S. 5th St., which repeatedly took the top spot for best Mexican food before BelAir Cantina's recent two-year run.
Chef Paz and Cempazuchi rounded out the rest of the top five in this year's hotly contested poll.
