We received official confirmation this morning that Cameron Mitchell Steakhouse at Bayshore Town Center is closed.
Carolyn Delp, Vice President of Marketing and Operating Partner at Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, LLC, told us, "Cameron's Steakhouse at Bayshore is now closed. Guests can redeem their gift cards at Mitchell's Fish Market in Brookfield."
As we reported in November, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, owner of Mitchell's Fish Market and Cameron's Steakhouse, sold its Fish Market chain and steakhouses to Ruth's Chris. At that time, the restaurant group told us that its Bayshore Town Center restaurant, which opened a little over one year ago, would remain open even though national reports stated that the company could change it into another concept.
Read an early review of the steakhouse here, and a review of Mitchell's Fish Market in Brookfield here.

Camerons closed because the staff was clueless. It was in the wrong location, it should have been at brookfield squre, and the fish maket should have been at bayshore. The fish market is very good, and I hear is doing very well.

Sucked for me: bought my parentals a $125 gift card to that place for Christmas. Didn't suck for me: they brought me and my boy to Cameron's affiliated restaurant, "Mitchell's Fish Market", to help exhaust the gift card before THAT place closes its doors too. It was delicious.

apparently it doesn't suck for too many people, because they're not dining out to begin with.

I feel for the unfortunate mishap at your anniversary dinner, however I believe that the closing of Cameron's was due in large part to the problem that faces many restaurants in this city. Not Enough business! Great restaurants are having to close their doors because they arent generating the revenue that they deserve....You watch, youll see better restaurants closing their doors before the years end. It sucks....It really sucks

Not really suprised, this place messed up my anniversary dinner so badly I actually wrote a letter to complain (Something I NEVER do). I got a call from the GM who apologized and offered a replacement meal in the form of a gift card. I accepted his apology, and the gift card....however the gift card never arrived in the mail...wonder why????
