Milwaukee’s favorite burger will soon be available in locations across town.

Oscar and Elisabeth Castenada, owners of Oscar’s Pub & Grill, 1712 W. Pierce St., recently added a patio expansion to their restaurant, which includes additional seating and a gorgeous view of tree tops, along with a glimpse of downtown.

And this week, they’re launching a food truck, Oscar’s On A Roll.

Oscar’s On A Roll will serve Oscar’s favorite burgers, including "The Big O," "The Big Gringo" and "The Big Foot," as well as their famous seasoned fries.

Every burger will be made with premium black angus beef and served on the well-loved Wild Flour Bakery bun, just as it is at the brick and mortar location.

To increase speed of service for the truck, the burgers will be 6 ounces each, just slightly smaller than the burgers served in the restaurant, at a slightly lower price point.

The truck will debut at Mexican Fiesta, which starts Friday, Aug. 22.  After Fiesta, the truck will focus on lunch service, serving at Red Arrow Park, the U.S. Bank building and at the Milwaukee courthouse.

Eventually, Castenada says that they would like to break off from the food truck crowd and begin serving in areas that are "unsaturated with choices for lunch and good food in general."

"We want to be where the hungriest Milwaukeeans work and play," he says.

Castenada also notes that they plan to introduce special new burger creations for the truck about once a month once they’ve settled in.
