Pepi’s Pizza, the long-time south side business currently located at 3929 S. Howell, will be moving their operations to Milwaukee’s east side, says Amber Mane who owns the restaurant with her father, Ricci.

The new restaurant, which will be called Pepi’s Place, will be located in the adjoined buildings at 1320 and 1330 E. Brady St. in the former homes of Philly Way and Berry Me Frozen Yogurt & Cafe.

Unlike Pepi's south side location -- which currently only offers takeout and delivery -- the east side spot will accommodate both diners who wish to dine in, and those who would prefer to carry out.

"Pepi’s used to be a sit-down restaurant, back in the 1950’s," says Mane. "We really wanted to get back to that. We also wanted to reach out to a younger audience. So, what better place to be than the "little Italy" on Milwaukee’s east side?"

Mane says the menu at Pepi’s Place will augment what Pepi’s Pizza offered --including pizza by the pie or the slice, subs and wings -- with a variety of salads and pasta dishes including stuffed shells, ravioli and spaghetti and meatballs.

The restaurant, which will seat about 90, will be open seven days a week, will also offer breakfast and brunch, along with late night options on weekends through 3 a.m.

Mane says they hope to move into the new east side space in time for a grand opening during the last weekend in October.

To start, Pepi’s Place will be open Sunday through Wednesday from 7 a.m. to midnight and Thursday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 a.m. Both delivery and carryout will be available.
