Beginning this week, Ward’s House of Prime, located at 515 Wells St. in Delafield, will begin a new chapter as PrimeOne Steak & Seafood.

The new steak and seafood concept, now owned by DJ Martin along with partners Rick Montes and Kim Jacobs, will operate in tandem with Allen Brothers Steaks of Chicago to offer a new diversified menu and dining experience.

"I’m very pleased with the restaurant’s success thus far," says Martin in an announcement. "Its reception in the community and the relationships we have cultivated with you, our friends, neighbors and suppliers. I am very proud of my talented and passionate team who have done so much for this restaurant. All of the staff continues with us through this transition as we re-launch as PrimeOne."

The roll-out, he notes, will be a gradual transition that takes place over the next few months.

All scheduled parties, meetings and special events scheduled at Ward’s House of Prime will be honored. The same goes for reservations. Gift cards purchased at Ward’s-Delafield will also be honored through the end of 2017 (Ward’s Milwaukee gift cards will not be honored). The restaurant will also continue to offer its Wine Locker Club, which will be overseen by sommelier Joe Kane.

PrimeOne is open Monday through Saturday with restaurant dining from 5 to 10 p.m. and bar dining from 4 to 10 p.m.
