Starting today, Alterra on Prospect Avenue will close every evening at 6 to accommodate an extensive remodel of the cafe. The work will take about four months to complete, and will include an expanded seating area and a food menu similar to the one at Alterra on Humboldt.

In December 2007, Alterra moved its roastery and administrative offices from the Prospect location to the Humboldt cafe, leaving unused space in the Prospect building. In traditional Alterra fashion, the space is being repurposed for reuse and will open later this year.

Although exact details of the remodel were not available at this time, this Alterra dweller is hoping for more light, more seating and plenty of electrical outlets.
