For the eighth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Locavore, the newest restaurant at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2014."

After seven years, Brocach Irish Pub and Restaurant, 1850 N. Water St., will close its doors. A new establishment, called Red Lion Pub, will take over the space.

The British-style pub and restaurant is slated to open in December. The menu will be a fresh take on the traditional English pub food along with American fare such as house-made pies, pasties, fish 'n’ chips, English spirits, cocktails, a large beer and ale selection and more.

Red Lion will also be a destination for soccer fans.

The owners of Red Lion Pub are Drew Deuster and JJ Kovacovich (Red Rock Saloon, McGillycuddy’s) and David Price and Christopher Tinker (Three Lions Pub).

"I’ve long dreamed of opening a soccer themed, British pub," says Deuster. "As an avid soccer enthusiast, fan of British culture and entrepreneur, the opportunity to make this happen is truly a dream come true."

Brocach opened in late 2007 and was named Best New Restaurant by OnMilwaukee.com in 2008. The space was formerly the Five and Ten Tavern.
