Rumors have been floating around Bay View for quite some time that Sobelman's was interested in the historic Kneisler's White House tavern, 2900 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.

But, it turns out, the iconic Milwaukee burger joint had their eyes on another historic spot, this time on the North Shore.

Sobelman's will be moving into Centennial Bar & Grille, 10352 N. Port Washington Rd. later this summer.

A message posted to Facebook by The Centennial Bar & Grille this morning confirmed: "Centennial will be purchased and become Sobelmans by late July."

The beloved restaurant, which was opened by owners Brian Ruelle and Kelley Starr will be open through June 20.
