Wisconsin Pizza Works, a salad and pizza bistro, will open a new casual dining restaurant in the former Tazino’s restaurant space at 8201 S. Howell Ave. in Oak Creek. The opening date has been scheduled for June 23.
The menu will feature specialty pizzas including Margherita, buffalo chicken and garlic chicken, as well as traditional toppings like pepperoni, sausage and cheese. There will be a fresh salad bar including specialty cold salads such as tri-color rotini, creamy cucumber and Asian slaw, as well as pastas and dessert.
Wisconsin Pizza Works plans to use 100 percent real, natural Wisconsin cheese – fresh, not frozen – and make fresh dough and sauce daily. Whole wheat dough and pasta, as well as gluten-free pizza crust and vegetarian options will also be available.
Owner Joe Cardenas worked in management in food service for twelve years before moving on into real estate and Corporate America, but always had a dream of returning to the restaurant and hospitality industry to own his very own restaurant.
Wisconsin Pizza Works will be open seven days a week 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
The restaurant is currently taking applications for employment. Apply online.
