Tuscan Winemaker Dinner with Bibi Graetz at Bacchus

In the hills above Florence, Bibi Graetz makes small amounts of highly concentrated quality wine. Part artist, winemaker, and naughty boy, Bibi is of Israeli/Norwegian/Italian ancestry. Super talented and supercool, he designs all the labels himself (when the US government will allow). His specialty is the local Sangiovese, produced in several different fashions, including the sought-after and ultra-expensive Colore. We welcome Bibi’s cousin, the equally charming Emanuele, who will speak on the wines, culture and art history of the property. So long as we are not shut down by the government, Bacchus Executive Chef Nick Wirth will prepare a great five course Tuscan feast to match to four great Bibi Graetz wines.

Australian Winemaker Dinner with Chester Osborn of D’Arenberg at Bacchus

Join Bacchus as we welcome famed winemaker, Chester Osborn, of the iconic d'Arenberg Winery on Wednesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. A wine dinner two years in the making, we welcome the legendary Chester Osborn, one of Robert Parker Jr.’s Top 40 Wine Personalities in the World to Bacchus. Chester is the 4th generation of his family to lead the winemaking team. Established in 1912, D’Arenberg helped put Australian Shiraz on the map.  Their large portfolio of wines with crazy names and distinctive red striped labels belie the serious winemaking that is inside the bottle. The flagship wine, The Dead Arm, is considered THE Shiraz to many people. We’re sure good times and hilarity will ensue in true Australian fashion when Chester takes the floor. Just to be sure, we’re bringing our own Aussie - Guy Davies, Executive Chef of Rumpus Room and himself a native of the McLaren Vale area, to guest assist Bacchus Executive Chef Nick Wirth.  Executive Chef Nick Wirth will create a dazzling 5-course dinner to match Chester's award-winning wines. Australian Winemaker Dinner with D’Arenberg Bacchus Wednesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. Five course dinner with paired wines $95 per person, plus tax and gratuity Reservations: (414) 765-1166

Asseo Guest Chef / Winemaker Dinner at Bacchus

Bacchus welcomes Chloe Asseo, Owner of L'Aventure Winery in Paso Robles, and her brother, Julien Asseo, Chef de Cuisine at Restaurant Guy Savoy in Las Vegas, for a winemaker / guest chef dinner on Tuesday, May 19. L’Aventure has been one of our favorite wineries since we first tasted it 10 years ago. We have consistently bought ALL that is shipped to Wisconsin, because we don’t want to share. We have hosted owner/winemaker Stephan Asseo twice for wine dinners, and visited him in Paso Robles. He is simply put, one of the BEST winemakers in California. A Bordeaux native, he knows great wine. His specialty is highly extracted Cabernet/Syrah blends. He makes three main red wines, and in the last 11 years they have all gotten higher than 90 points by Parker. The last five years have all rated 95-98 points. Not that we are counting, but we are very proud to have “discovered” him so early. This time, he is sending the next generation - his daughter Chloe, and son Julien. Julien trained in France at culinary school, worked for superchef Joel Robuchon, and is now the Chef de Cuisine at one of the top three restaurants in Las Vegas, the Michelin 2 Star Guy Savoy. We are stunned at our (and your) good fortune! Julien and Bacchus Executive Chef Nick Wirth will each create three courses. You will taste nine amazing L’Aventure wines - from rose, to white, to killer reds. Asseo Guest Chef / Winemaker Dinner at Bacchus Tuesday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m. Six courses with nine wines $125 per person plus tax and gratuity Reservations: (414) 765-1166

My husband and I dined at Bacchus last night for the first time. It was definately an experience we will not forget. From the moment we called for directions, to the moment we left was excellent. The restaurant has a wonderfully romantic ambiance, with a waitstaff that opens their arms for you!!! We highly recommend Bacchus!!!
