The Saltshakers, Parallel & Alyce Hart at BBC
Music starts at 9:30 with Alyce Hart, followed by The Saltshakers, and Parallel closing. $5 at the door // 21+ Alyce Hart is a fearless siren with a mighty voice. Alyce is sure to lure you in with a sound all her own injecting soulful vocals into rock 'n roll. She shamelessly entered the Milwaukee music scene with her captivating debut album, Walk In My Shoes. With influences of blues, rock, funk, and pop. Her original songs are packed with memorable hooks and catchy melodies that feel familiar but surrender to their own territory. Alyce adds exciting covers to her sets including songs from artists such as Amy Winehouse, ZZ Ward, Lissie, and P!nk. Alyce Hart drives her love for music into each high energy performance that will keep you coming back for more. THE SALTSHAKERS are a rock band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since 2002, we’ve played a lot of shows throughout the Midwest, making stops in Minneapolis, Detroit, Chicago, and our hometown of Milwaukee. We opened for some pretty cool bands along the way like Heartless Bastards, Local H, The Jealous Sound, and The Redwalls. Some of the bands we love are The Replacements, The Pixies, The Cars, The Beatles, New Order, Oasis, Ryan Adams, and Tom Petty. Our latest CD single - CHANGE THE CHANNEL - was released in May of 2013. Parallel mixes vocals, piano, electric cello, drums and bass/guitar to deliver its own brand of rocking poetry. From high energy, driving rhythms to rich, dark, emotive melodies, Parallel provides a captivating juxtaposition of texture and instrumentation in its approach to acoustic indie rock.

Damn that is an old picture! BBC hasn't stood for Bradford Beach Club in quite some time, ever since it turned into G-Daddy's BBC well over a decade ago. But here is a little history! Gary (the owner) started as a door guy at the original B.B.C. (Bradford Beach Club) in the late 80's. After working his way up from barback, to bartender, to manager, he got a loan from the then owner to take over the place. So after 1995 Gary was the proud owner of what is now called "G-Daddy's BBC". (A little back story about the G-Daddy thing... We here at the BBC, I mean G-Daddy's BBC, take pride in this. Gary as a door guy was slightly poked by the old owners and older staff when he started there. They used to say "Hay G-Daddy! whats shakin'" etc.. So when he bought the B.B.C. he decided to change the name to G-Daddy's BBC!!!) And that is also the reason why we have "Where the finger means your #1" as or motto and on all of our pens. Well there ya go, and as we all know, knowing is half the battle!! G-Dad-dyyyy's!!!
