The food was outstanding! The wine list was perfect. The service was excellent. I had the special of the night which was beef wellington. We also had a soft shell crab appetizer which was something far different from what I have had in the sushi bars, a very pleasant surprise. I had a door county cherry chocolate chip bread pudding for dessert. Yum! The presentation of the food was beautiful. The tables were too close and the restaurant felt noisy. That being said, the restaurant seemed to have a nice charm even with the kitchen being right at the entrance and just kind of in the middle of everything. I think my seat was an old church pew. I will definitely go there again. I would definitely make a reservation as there is not even room to stand while you wait for your table to be ready. The bar is filled with people who dont apear to have reservations who dine at the bar. There was another dining area in the back. Although the tables seemed just as crammed in back there, it was away from the traffic of the kitchen and entrance and would probably be much quieter. It was pricy; one cocktail each, sharing an appetizer and dessert, plus two entrees was around $100 plus tip. Worth it for the fine dining experience.

I do not why things happen the way they do, but it has taken me years to dine at Crazy Water. I have always had a high regard for the chef/owner having sampled her skills when she had a place in Cedarburg. Well I finally made it and I was not disappointed the menu is imaginative utilizes the freshest seasonal ingredients. The wine list like the menu is just the right size for the space. The food was excellent the flavors popping. My spouse discovered the Goat cheese & fig Tort and fell in love. Peggy was not to proud to own up that recipe was borrowed. We are so lucky to have places like this in Milwaukee true originals get in line a pull up to a table you will love it. Peggy shows that she is a real master of the craft
