Kil@wat offers culturally-inspired yet comfortably American cuisine as unique as the restaurant’s décor.
The flexible menu offers traditional dining as well as tapas-style items that are great for sharing. Executive Chef Robert Ash brings a taste of Sin City to Brew City, importing the flavors that made Wynn Las Vegas famous. Located in the InterContinental Milwaukee hotel, the restaurant is convenient for pre- and post-theater dining. |

Food tasted good, but portions were very small and overpriced. View of downtown was great and the decor was cool. But, service was slow - we waited 20 minutes before a waiter came by to greet us and take our drink order and it wasn't busy. Also, be careful because our server gave himself a few bucks extra tip which I discovered when I checked my bank statement later that night...

My husband and I stopped in for brunch on Memorial Day. We were very pleased with our food. We started with beignets, which were served with a chocolate sauce (ok) and a berry compote (FABULOUS!), then I ordered the vanilla pecan french toast w/bacon and my husband ordered a swiss burger w/french fries. My french toast was probably the best french toast I've ever had at a restaurant and my bacon was extra crispy just as I had ordered it. My husband's burger was HUGE. He said it was VERY good, but a little on the greasy side due to the swiss and fried onions. But, his fries were fantastic. We both agreed they were some of the best restaurant fries we've had in a long time. The food was good, but service was ridiculously slow. We were only 1 of 3 groups in there at the time and we waited and waited and waited for everything (water, order, beverage refills, etc.) We would like to go back for brunch again, but we hope the service is better.

This is one place that really blew it. I and my daughter's weeding party stopped in only to have to listen to obnoxious techno music being played by some FIB from Chicago. Rather than consider a request he spent the entire eventing threatening to pack up and leave. I will never go back to this restaurant. Good luck.

Terrible! I've been in both the bar on 1st floor and restaurant on 2nd floor several times, as I work in the building. In the bar, consistently poor service, despite there being no one even in the place and four servers "working," i.e, goofing around behind the bar. The food in both places was not only not worth the price, but LOUSY -- poor cuts of meat, overcooked, lack of flavor. Today, we were told they had a new chef. I was encouraged, but the food was just as bad as on previous visits. And, beware of the wine prices!!! When I asked for a house Cabernet in the bar, I was charged $11 per glass. A house Pinot Grigio in the restaurant was $10 per glass, and one of my friends asked for a "cheap cabernet" in the restaurant and her bill was $12 per glass. And the music is loud and obnoxious. Don't waste your $.

Kil@wat was a disappointing experience. The food was okay, but the service was poor. Tables around us remained unbussed; there was mass confusion among the waitstaff and manager; extra place settings remained on our table for 2 (4 settings). If this were an inexpensive restaurant, those setbacks could be forgiven, but this place is priced to give Bacchus a run for its money... and it's not even close. I feel like I have been taken.
