Mel Brooks is one of my favorite writers and comedians. I've seen "Blazing Saddles" so many times, I can recite every line of the movie before it's said. Sadly, I'll probably never meet the 84-year-old legend in person, but his work continues to be reinvented, lately with "Young Frankenstein," the musical, playing at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts Nov. 2-7.

And that's why I'm excited that the Marcus Center has teamed up with OnMilwaukee.com to offer our readers $10 off tickets for the Nov. 2-4 shows. All you have to do is use coupon code "KNOCKERS" to get the discount on up to two tickets. The full details are here.

This offer only runs through Oct. 1, so jump on this opportunity, readers. Mel Brooks is a living legend, and "Young Frankenstein" is a brilliant movie. I can't wait to see how it is adapted to the stage. See you there!
