Arts@Large and the H-D Museum get "elementary" in new exhibit
The Harley-Davidson Museum and Arts@Large have teamed up to showcase unique student artwork in the museum's latest exhibit, "Industrial Innovation Gets Elementary."
Students from grades 4 through 8 at Stuart and Keefe Elementary Schools participated in a collaborative workshop with Harley-Davidson Motor Company designers and engineers to create a set of 120 motorcycle gas tank designs. The top 30, chosen by a committee of Harley-Davidson and Arts@Large employees, are on display at the museum through Jan. 4, 2013.
"Industrial Innovation Gets Elementary" is part of Arts@Large's "I Wanna-Be" initiative, which provides students with opportunities to see professionals at work in a variety of careers.
