Your ears might perk up when you hear "Your Money Bus" is coming to Milwaukee next week. They aren't exactly handing out cash but they will be giving you the next best thing.

Sponsored The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) Consumer Education Foundation, TD AMERITRADE Institutional and Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine, "Your Money Bus" is travelling throughout the United States with stops in 60 cities including Milwaukee.

Looking to help those with financial questions, the event gives you the chance to meet one-on-one with financial planners and learn how to save money, eliminate debt, and deal with financial challenges.

Early morning visitors will get a chance to hear from Mayor Barrett, pick up free educational materials and, while supplies last, free budgeting software.

In preparation of the arrival of "Your Money Bus," send us your questions on the current financial crisis, personal sustainability habits, long-term financial wellbeing, personal finance or how to deal if you've lost your job. We'll get answers from local coordinator Michael Haubrich, President of Financial Service Group, and post a "Financial question and answer of the day" every day next week.

Email us your questions and we'll do our best to get highly asked questions answered by the professionals.

"Your Money Bus" will be at the Pettit National Ice Center Wednesday, April 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Maureen Post Special to OnMilwaukee.com

OnMilwaukee.com staff writer Maureen Post grew up in Wauwatosa. A lover of international and urban culture, Maureen received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

After living on the east side of Madison for several years, Maureen returned to Milwaukee in 2006.

After a brief stint of travel, Maureen joined OnMilwaukee.com as the city’s oldest intern and has been hooked ever since. Combining her three key infatuations, Milwaukee’s great music, incredible food and inspiring art (and yes, in that order), Maureen’s job just about fits her perfectly.

Residing in Bay View, Maureen vehemently believes the city can become fresh and new with a simple move across town.
