Olive Fine Organic Living coming to Downer Avenue
Construction is under way at 2624 N. Downer Ave., next to Café Hollander. Olive Fine Organic Living, a retail store that opened in 2008 (it closed its location at Mequon Pavilions in January) and currently operates online, will open there this spring.
Olive is the brainchild of Grafton native Michael Katarincic. According to oliveorganic.org, "Olive strives to bring eco-friendly alternatives in apparel, personal care and home goods into the mainstream marketplace."
Katarincic said that Olive sells a variety of products and is "a source for people who want to live the organic lifestyle."
Katarincic and his general manager, David Neubert, said they're excited to open on the East Side and see good synergies with other development and retailers on Downer Avenue.
Rinka Chung Architecture designed the space inside the building that is owned and managed by Van Buren Management.
Olive is expected to open in March. "Probably a little after March 1," said Katarincic.
