"The Bachelor" returns to TV tonight – with a familiar face for both fans of the long-running dating reality show and Milwaukee residents in tow.

Waukesha native and UWM alum Nick Viall will make his fourth attempt at finding true, deep, nationally televised love starting at 7 p.m. tonight on ABC. Viall previously appeared twice on "The Bachelorette," vying for the hearts of Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe in their respective seasons only to come away both times in second place, staring forlornly into the middle distance. He then popped up on last year's season of "Bachelor in Paradise" – and was sent home single yet again.

But you know what they say: Third Fourth time's the charm. After all, this time, Viall's the one who gets to do the rose offering, so he'd really have to mess this up to go home still checking his Match.com profile. Maybe dropping a fart in the hot tub? Or taking the ladies on an exotic date to a nearby Applebee's?

Probably not. But in case one of those fabulously terrible romantic faux pas comes to pass, we here at OnMilwaukee will post recaps and reactions for each episode of the upcoming season every following morning, reporting back on every contestant proclaiming they're not here to make friends, every time a character dramatically stares into the distance – probably at a sunset – every time Nick says he's really feeling a connection between himself and the fourth woman he's made out with in a hot tub that day, and every time somebody has an excessively sob-filled emotional breakdown.

Plus, since Viall's a Wisconsin guy, we'll likely be treated to several shots and travels to familiar locales – for instance, The Pabst Theater for a one-on-one concert date featuring country performer Chris Lane (spoiler alert). So stay tuned, as we'll be tallying up those Sconnie shoutouts too along the way.

For those who want to follow Viall and this new season of "The Bachelor" in an even more interactive way as well, ABC (with the help of ESPN) has created its own 2017 Bachelor fantasy league. Until Jan. 16, "Bachelor" fans can log in their picks for the four contestants who'll make it to the hometown date stage, as well as the one who'll receive the final rose. Each week along the way, however, fans will also be able to rack up points by making episode-by-episode predictions about the amount of tears shed, date locations and more.

If you predict well, you might win more than simply "Bachelor" bragging rights, too. The big prize for the fantasy league is a trip for two to Los Angeles, complete with tickets to the filming of the "After the Final Rose" episode of the next "Bachelorette" (they've probably already filmed this season's wrap-up show).

So play along, tune in tonight and tune in to OnMilwaukee tomorrow for thoughts on Viall's latest TV love-venture. One of them has to go right eventually!

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
