This Saturday, you'll hear some New York pop, jazz and R&B in the Third Ward. Manhattan-based singer / songwriter Grace Weber is in town for the holidays and giving you a special hometown show.

Accompanied by Keith Pulvermacher of the Love Monkeys, Weber gets on stage at the Milwaukee Ale House starting at 8 p.m.

Playing clubs, coffee shops and cafes in New York City, Weber continues to receive awards and accolades for her sultry sound. Her music blends elements of pop, jazz, adult contemporary, R&B and gospel with an experienced voice showing depth beyond her young age.

Typically accompanied in New York by Julian Pollack on piano, this Saturday's show keeps things local with Pulvermacher's guitar skills.

Weber, who recently released her second album, grew up in Wauwatosa before moving to New York City to attend New York University to study music. She and fellow NYU student Pollack spent the last year recording and touring to promote their new album, "94 & 95."

After living on the east side of Madison for several years, Maureen returned to Milwaukee in 2006.

After a brief stint of travel, Maureen joined OnMilwaukee.com as the city’s oldest intern and has been hooked ever since. Combining her three key infatuations, Milwaukee’s great music, incredible food and inspiring art (and yes, in that order), Maureen’s job just about fits her perfectly.

Residing in Bay View, Maureen vehemently believes the city can become fresh and new with a simple move across town.
