Not many bands in Milwaukee have dedicated themselves to the road like The Delta Routine has. Lead singer and guitar player Nick Amadeus says, "We all have, especially in the last year and a half, really put the burners on and have been working hard."

In early 2013 the band hit the road for a tour that covered Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and New York. That tour came only a few months after another tour the band was on to support "Cigarettes And Caffeine Nightmares" which was released in August 2012.

The Delta Routine has a sound that I compare to a mash up of Oasis, The Strokes and The Rolling Stones. Its high energy shows and dedicated fan base has allowed it to be a favorite among fans and musicians in Milwaukee. In 2011, the band won several big awards and consistently gets asked to play most festivals in the area.

This Friday at Summerfest you can see what all the buzz is about when The Delta Routine performs at 9 p.m. on the K-Nation Cascio Interstate Music Stage.

In today’s Kramp Cast I talk to Amadeus about the band's new line up, touring from Antigo to New York, couch surfing with a wanna be rapper and his cockroaches. Plus hear Amadeus perform a special acoustic version of "New York Avenue," which he originally released on his own in 2011 and then again with the band on "Cigarettes And Caffeine Nightmares." Enjoy!
