I've never watched "American Idol." I kid you not.
I have nothing against it, but the DVR's full of the shows I love and, frankly, I'd rather watch basketball. So, I'm not one of the 25 million weekly viewers but I am a fan of some of the winners, especially Carrie Underwood.
Anyway, I am filled with Milwaukee pride knowing that one of our own, Danny Gokey, is in the final 13. The dude is probably the most talked about "celebrity" in town and most seem to think he has a real chance to take the crown.
So, I'm doing my civic duty and voting for the guy. Yet, I just found out that you can't vote online and that you must wait for a posted number after the performances. So, I'm assuming someone will e-mail me the number. I'll watch my Blackberry and vote for Gokey. I think you should do the same.
Whether you watch the show or not, that's your call.

angelich - I work in media... and I have created artwork for Danny to be used locally. It is HIS WISH to have nothing about his wife or the foundation in the artwork. He wants to win on his own merits. He cannot help what is being done by the producers of the show but locally he wants to keep it about him.
