If you've been waiting to hear what may move into the space that formerly housed INdustri Cafe on the near South Side, you are not alone.
The prime spot on South 2nd Street in Walker's Point wasn't likely to stay vacant long in a neighborhood with such a vibrant dining scene, and indeed it has not.
Aaron Gersonde and two partners will open the neighborhood's newest addition, Movida, 524 S. 2nd St., at the beginning of August.
Movida will focus on reinventing Spanish tapas and cocktails, and the owners hope to put a new spin on classic cuisine in a contemporary space, with craft cocktails and innovative tapas. With selections called Basil Blood Orange Sangria and Saffron Aioli Seared Prawns, it sounds like the menu will be diverse in its offerings.
