The Glass Nickel Pizza Co. is opening a new location at 1504 E. North Ave., company co-founder Tim Nicholson confirmed to OnMilwaukee.com yesterday.
The space's previous tenants include restaurants La Piazza, Node and Clutch.
The Glass Nickel is expected to open sometime in June. It will be owned and operated by a longtime Glass Nickel Pizza Co. employee, said Nicholson.
The pizza company was founded in 1997 in Madison. There are eight other locations in Wisconsin, including one in Brookfield.
Colleen Jurkiewicz is a Milwaukee native with a degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and she loves having a job where she learns something new about the Cream City every day. Her previous incarnations have included stints as a waitress, a barista, a writing tutor, a medical transcriptionist, a freelance journalist, and now this lovely gig at the best online magazine in Milwaukee.
