In February, after finding out Angelo’s Piano Lounge, 1686 N. Van Buren St., was for lease, OnMilwaukee.com asked the question "Who's gonna take over Angelo’s Lounge?"

Recently, we learned that Nate Fried, owner of Hybrid Lounge, is taking on the job. Fried leased the space and is currently getting permits to update it with draft lines and a new audio system. He hopes to reopen Angelo's in late September or early October.

"I'm keeping the name and I don’t plan to change it too much," says Fried. "Just refreshing the space."
