Cafe at the Plaza, 1007 N. Cass St., reopened today after being closed for renovations since March 30. The original plan was to reopen in time for Mother’s Day, but a few minor setbacks pushed back the date.
Fans of the Art Deco cafe and eatery inside The Plaza Hotel will be happy to know it looks very much the same as it did, but now with state-of-the-art appliances and exhaust system to better accommodate dining demands during busy times.
The dining area has new tables, chairs and booths and, according to an employee, there is an updated prep room downstairs.
The Cafe at the Plaza is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for breakfast and lunch. It will soon be open Thursday through Saturday evenings for drinks and small plates.
