Walker’s Point residents – this one included – have been grumbling for more breakfast places and it’s happening.

La Merenda’s Peter Sandroni plans to open a breakfast and lunch restaurant at 217 W. National Ave., in a former, 1904-built fire station named Engine Company No. 3. 

Sandroni plans to name the eatery after the station.
