Brewers Notebook: Postseason power outage
A punchless offense brought the Brewers' postseason to a screeching halt. Now, it's time to reevaluate what went wrong, what worked and who will be back next year when Milwaukee tries to take the next step towards a championship. At the top of the to-do list: extending general manager Doug Melvin's deal and deciding whether or not to retain Dale Sveum. And oh yeah, CC Sabathia is a free agent, too.

Mission unaccomplished for Suppan, Brewers
When the Brewers signed veteran right-hander Jeff Suppan signed a four-year, $42 million contract before the 2007 season, they were banking on his experience and reputation as a "big-game" pitcher. In one of the bigger games in 26 years, Suppan came up short and doomed the club to a season-ending 6-2 loss to Philadelphia.

NLDS Game 4 Recap: Phillies 6, Brewers 2
So ends the ride... Jeff Suppan failed to deliver in the type of situation the Brewers signed him to handle. He surrendered three home runs in a three-inning effort. The Milwaukee bats failed to show up once again and the end result was a 6-2 loss to Philadelphia in Game 4 of the National League Division Series at Miller Park. The Phillies advance to face Los Angeles in the NLCS.

My First Playoff game... pt. 1
So, after buying tickets from Stub Hub and forking several hundred dollar over for some pretty sweet seats, I found myself in the thick of the largest sports related party in Wisconsin.  First, the parking situation brought me down.  I was never notified or saw what the parking situatio...

Thursday October 2nd, 2008 - Lake Villa, ILTo be a baseball fan within 50 miles of where I live is no picnic right now. I am exactly halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee and everyone is on suicide watch. The Chicago Cubs stink. The Chicago White Sox suck. The Milwaukee Brewers rot. It’s al...

Burning the Bad Luck Brewers Hat
As you cheer on the Brewers in game two of the NLDS against the Phillies tonight, send a little cheer of thanks to my pal Aaron Gross. Why? Well, if it wasn't for a keen observation on Aaron's part our hometeam might never have made it to their first playoff series in 26 years. It was on July 3, 20...
