I am fiercely loyal. Loyal to my friends, loyal to my family, loyal to my teammates and loyal to my coworkers. When I perceive injustice, I go at it head-on. I'm passionate, especially when I perceive unfairness. I might get a bit outspoken at times, but that's only because I feel I am fighting a just cause. So I get where former Brewers and current Marlins third baseman Casey McGehee was coming from Thursday night.

The benches cleared after an odd two-batter sequence when Milwaukee Brewers starter Mike Fiers hit Miami Marlins MVP-candidate Giancarlo Stanton in the face and pinch hitter Reed Johnson on back-to-back pitches -- which resulted in an inning-ending strikeout. Carlos Gomez was later hit, and the Brewers won two in a row for the first time since the end of August.

A year ago, Casey McGehee was the team's most valuable player, a well-deserved honor after the one-time Cubs castoff hit .285 with 23 home runs and 104 RBI. Flash forward to the present and some are wondering if the 28-year-old is in the Brewers' long-term plans.
