Recently, Redbar opened in St. Francis. The space, which formerly housed Majdecki's and later, Cool Waters, has been remodeled inside and out. It's now aptly painted red and the interior is a tribute to aspects of Milwaukee history, from vintage beer signs to sports bobble heads to an antique motorcycle license plate.

Carrie Wisniewski and Nick Schell plan to open red.bar in mid-to-late July in the St. Francis space that was formerly Cool Water and before that Madjecki's.

For anyone looking for a fun, intimate, informational and generous tour of a Milwaukee craft brewery, the Milwaukee Brewing Co. in Walker's Point is a solid choice and a great deal.
