When it comes to significant points in history, the retelling of what took place becomes key to our understanding of the wave of change that took over our world after that single moment. Documentary makers Everett Marshburn, Mark Siegrist and a crew from Milwaukee Public Television tell the story of 19 World War II veterans returning to Pearl Harbor with a special presentation titled "Return To Pearl."

Mark Siegrist has always enjoyed telling stories. Lately, he's been able to do that though a number of projects involving long-form documentaries that have aired on Milwaukee Public Television. His latest effort is "Milwaukee Holy Orders - The Making Of A Priest," which will air Monday on WMVS-TV Ch. 10.

This Thursday, Discovery World, 500 N. Harbor Dr., hosts a screening of the film followed by a panel discussion featuring Rick Meyers, Recycling Specialist for the Milwaukee Department of Public Works and George T. Stone, MATC professor and co-chair of MATC's District Sustainability Committee. The discussion will be hosted by MPTV General Manager Ellis Bromberg.

Chicago-based Chef Rick Bayless has a deep love for the 12-inch sauté pan, gas range and poblano pepper. In a demonstration today at the Milwaukee Public Market, Bayless brought these loves together to talk up and then scarf down something "beyond cheese covered" Mexican cuisine.
